Waste Collection Information

Always make sure your waste is set out on time, placed in the correct colour bag and is separated properly to avoid missed collection and/or rejections.
Scroll to bottom of page for information on items NOT collected curbside.

**Starting December 1, 2025 Circular Materials – a producer-led not for profit organization operating in Nova Scotia – launched extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging and paper. EPR represents a fundamental shift in how recycling is managed in Nova Scotia. Under this model, producers – the businesses that supply packaging and paper to residents – will fund and manage the collection and recycling of these materials.
